The Pike

Hi All
The Pike competition was fished in Carton Estate Sunday 24th November, it was a fine day with a good few pike caught Frank Dempsey had the best of the fishing on the day winning the comp by the end well done Frank. Donal was finally presented with a new set of BBQ tools, no more flavour of plastic ice scrapers in the sausages then and many thanks to Donal and Dave for looking after the food. Many thanks to Carton House for the use of the main lake for the competition. Thats most things wrapped up till Xmas lads hope you all enjoyed the year  we had one of the driest year on record and some of the biggest trout out of the Rye in many a year, with numerous anglers beating their PB this year, hopefully we will get a bit more water next year but not too much. Don't forget the fly tying is in full flight each Thursday evening in the back room of St Marys GAA all welcome P.S its not only about tying flies its also a bit of craic and good place to pick up tips etc.

Enjoy the Xmas
